Fusing my wildlife knowledge and an eye for composition, I work in my small studio by the sea to translate the islands’ natural and maritime history into unique and beautiful artworks that allow you to bring a bit of Scilly into your home.
Although I use a number of printing methods in my practice, most of my work is done using linocut. What I absolutely love about lino as a medium, is that it’s a real hands-on process mixing technology and creativity. I love the way it forces you to really think about your subject and pare down the detail to tell its story using just the bold patterns and clean stylish lines that lino allows. My studio at Porthmellon is part of the Phoenix Crafts Workshops where you can visit and chat to me and the other artists as we create our work.
